The Farm
With the help of friends, we have so far obtained 53 acres of land. This is what we call the school farm. About seven acres can now be planted from time to time. In Uganda we can have two crops a year of crops like Maize, Sweet potato, beans e.t.c
Using primitive tools has cut down on the potential of our farm as labour intensive methods yield very little regardless the cost, compared to more mechanized methods. Both quantity and quality of products also differ.
The farm is by far a big bush which requires clearing, planning, and fencing.
The full potential of the farm will solve most of the need for food in order to feed the school. Uganda is such a fertile country and teaching hungry children would be a very unpleasant experience.
